Stillwater Area Wrestling (SAW) Club 2023/24 Details:

SAW INTERMEDIATE
REGISTER HERE:
Description: SAW Intermediate is for wrestlers with a year or more experience looking to take their wrestling and focus to the next level. Intermediate wrestlers are expected to pay attention and will be held accountable in practice to listen and stay focused. Intermediate wrestlers can also register & join our Advanced Group in January when Advanced practices start.
Cost: $145
How Often: 2 nights/week for 8 Weeks (14 total practices)
Day/Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30 - 7:45 pm
Practice Location: Stillwater High School Wrestling Room
Ages: 1st/2nd - 4th grade with ~ 2 years experience

SAW ADVANCED

Description: SAW Advanced is for our motivated wrestlers with several years of wrestling experience. Advanced will start in January this year after the middle school season ends. All 5th & 6th graders are encouraged to join our Middle School Wrestling Program which starts November 1st.
Cost: $205
How Often: 2 nights/week for 10 Weeks (20 total practices)
Day/Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30 - 8:00 pm

Ages: 2nd - 6th grade with more than 2 years experience

VAA BEGINNERS:

Description: The Beginner Level is for Pre-K through 1st or 2nd grade athletes with 0 to 1 year of experience, who have a lot of energy and like to play, tumble, and be physical in a fun and safe environment. Our goal is to provide an introduction to wrestling while creating an environment where kids can exercise their emerging athleticism and physicality through gymnastics, tumbling, and playful wrestling-type situations & games.
Cost: $85
How Often: 1 night/week for 7 weeks, with an additional practice in the 7th week (8 total practices)
Day/Time: Tuesdays 5:30 - 6:15pm, (and Thursday Dec 21 5:30-6:25pm)
Practice Location: Stillwater High School Wrestling Room
Ages: Pre-K through 1st-2nd Grade (Mostly beginners in the sport of wrestling)

VAA K-12 ALL-GIRLS:

Description: Join the fastest growing Girls Sport in America! Wrestling is excited to offer VAA ALL-GIRLS K-12 Wrestling in 2023-24. The Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) added Girls Wrestling as an official High School Sport two seasons ago. Stillwater crowned its first MSHSL Girl State Champion (Audrey Rogotzke).......Which Stillwater Girl will be our next MSHSL STATE WRESTLING CHAMPION?
Cost: $135
Who: (Ages) Kindergarten through 12th Grade (all experience levels). If you are in grades 7-12 please reach out to Coach Katrina Eggum before you register. Girls will be separated into groups based on age/ability during practices. Warm ups and conditioning activities will be run as one group/team.
When: Two practices per week beginning the week of Dec. 5th and continuing through the beginning of March (MN/USA State Folkstyle Tournament)
Practice days and times are TBD at this time (2 days a week for 75-90 minutes). Information will be provided via email once days & times are set.
All Girls tournaments and competition are optional. More information will be provided at practices.
NOTE: 7-12 graders interested in participating in the MSHSL events including qualifying for the Girls State Tournament should register through the school activities sites. The girls are not required to attend co/ed practices. Your coach, Katrina Eggum, will work with girls to individually identify a training schedule to fit your experience and goals.
