Stillwater had pride in knowing we have the best coaching in Minnesota, if not the nation. Under the leadership of Tim Hartung, our program and coaching all fall under one umbrella and one system. Because of his philosophy, many of our coaches help out with multiple age groups and abilities. We have paid and volunteer coaches along with many volunteer parents who aren’t listed below.

Tim Hartung
Coach Hartung is entering his 5th season as the Varsity Head Coach and 7th Season at the Varsity Level. Tim started working with the Stillwater Youth Program in 2014 as the Youth Head Coach. Tim and his wife Lindsey have all 3 of their children wrestling for Stillwater: Ella (9th Grade), August (7th Grade), & Paisley (6rd Grade). August Wrestles in the club and plays football. Ella and Paisley are full-time volleyball players.
Tim hails from Durand, Wisconsin. He went on to wrestle at the University of Minnesota, where he became a two-time NCAA champion, three-time All-American and three-time Big Ten Champion. He was inducted into the University of Minnesota Hall of Fame in 2010.

Katrina Eggum
Wrestled in high school with boys and wrestled collegiately at the University of Minnesota Morris. She now runs the Stillwater girls wrestling program.
Thane Antczak
Coach Antczak is entering his 4th season as a middle school coach for the Stillwater Wrestling Program. He previously served as middle school head coach for multiple seasons in the Wayzata School District and the River Falls School District. Coach Antczak has also served as varsity head coach in the Turtle Lake school district and currently helps run Victory School of Wrestling, located in River Falls. Coach Antczak was a multiple time state champion in Wisconsin and a 4x letter winner for the Minnesota Gophers. Him and his wife, Megan, currently reside in River Falls.
Kevin LeValley
Kevin returns to Minnesota after an 8-year stint coaching at his alma mater, Bucknell University. At Bucknell, he coached 21 NCAA qualifiers, 14 Academic All-Americans, 9 EIWA Finalists, a 2X All-American and EIWA Outstanding Wrestler.
LeValley previously competed for Gopher Wrestling Club and Minnesota Storm from 2011-2015, was a 2015 US National Team member, and was ranked as high as 12th in the world at 70kg.
A 2011 Bucknell graduate, LeValley was a two-time All-American and still holds school records for wins in a season (42) and a career (127). Most notably, he handed Cornell's Kyle Dake his final collegiate loss in the 2011 EIWA finals. In 2021, LeValley was honored by his alma mater as a first ballot Bucknell Athletics Hall of Famer.
LeValley and his wife, Amanda, were married in October 2014. They have two sons and one daughter, Harlan (6), Thaller (4), and Lakyn.
Steve Polakowski
Steve is a former wrestler for the University of Minnesota.
Austin Jordan
Austin wrestled for the Stillwater Ponies! Graduated in 2013 and placed 4th at 126lbs. He also wrestled 141 in college at Augustana University where he received his degree in education. He is now a personal trainer at Functional Patterns working in multiple gyms around the state of Minnesota.
Rich Keller
Coach Keller is entering his 34th year as a coach in Stillwater, 17 of which were as Head Coach.
Keller is a former wrestler from Stillwater and continued wrestling at Mankato State University. At MSU Keller was a 3-time NCAA qualifier.
Rich and his 4 brothers all wrestled at Stillwater. Steve (Hamline), Dave (NCAA All-American Mankato), Dan (NCAA 2x All American Northern Iowa), John and Rich.
He and his wife (Sue) are parents of 4 Stillwater grads and 6 Grand kids that are the greatest treasure of the HEART!!

Tom Wendt
Coach Wendt never wore a singlet in his life. They were three-piece uniforms when he was in high school. He was a 4-year wrestling letter winner at LeMars Community High School and then competed for the now non-existent Westmar College.
He has been coaching with the Stillwater program since 2003. He has 3 grown children who excelled in nordic skiing, swimming, viola, saxophone, and skateboarding.
Matt Onken
Coach Onken is entering his 18th year of coaching including stops at Vermillion High School in South Dakota as a volunteer assistant while attending USD, Rochester Century High School as an assistant, Park High School of Cottage Grove as an assistant and currently in Stillwater.
Coach Onken is a 1993 graduate of Murray County Central in southwest MN and wrestled for Fulda/Slayton (now Fulda/MCC) as the varsity heavyweight.
Coach Onken has two children, Ethan a senior and Logan a junior who both attend SAHS. Coach Onken teaches for District 916 while his supportive wife Julie teachers for Woodbury High School. Ahh, rivalry matches!
Adam Turner
Adam is entering his 2nd season with the Ponies. Prior to coming to Stillwater he was the head coach in Ashland, Oregon for 7 years and also coached with other programs in Washington and Wisconsin.
Adam was a Wisconsin state champion and Fargo Junior National Freestyle All-American before competing for the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was a 4 year starter for the Badgers and wrestled there along with his three brothers.
Adam and his wife, Erin, live in Stillwater with their 5 children: Lindson, Sierra, River, Ayazi and Demitri.
Ben Berhow
Ben joins our program after previously serving as an assistant coach at the University of Iowa from 2013-2019. While at Iowa, he helped to develop 18 All-Americans and 3 NCAA Champions.
Prior to his time with the Hawkeyes, Berhow served as a Graduate Assistant for the University of Minnesota from 2011-2013. The Gophers enjoyed tremendous success during those years, as Berhow helped to develop 12 All-Americans, and a 2X NCAA Champion.
A 2011 graduate of the University of Minnesota, Berhow was a member of the 2007 NCAA Championship team while also garnering 78 career wins. He was a 3X NCAA Qualifier, placing 6th, 4th, and 3rd at the BIG 10 Championships.
Berhow and his wife, Marie, were married in July of 2017. Their wedding ceremony took place in Stillwater.

Luke Becker
Current Head Assistant Coach for the University of Minnesota, Luke Becker, volunteers his time as a youth assistant within our program. Now in his 21st season on staff with Gophers, Luke brings a wealth of experience to our practice room.
During his time as an athlete at the University of Minnesota, Luke was a 2002 NCAA Champion, 2X Big Ten Champion, 4X All-American, and a member of the 2001 and 2002 NCAA Championship Teams. He was inducted into the M Club Hall of Fame in 2015.
Prior to joining the Gophers, Becker was a three-time Minnesota state champion from Cambridge, MN. He finished his high school career as the winningest high school wrestler in Minnesota history at that time with 210 prep victories.
Luke and his wife, Christa have two children - Brittlyn and Bo.
Delaney Berger
Delaney enters his 3rd year as a member of the youth coaching staff.
He wrestled for the University of Minnesota from 1995-2000, where he was a 2x NCAA qualifier, placing 6th and 5th at the Big Ten Championships. In 1999, the Gophers placed 1st at the Big 10 Championships and 2nd at NCAA's. In 2000, the Gophers placed 2nd at the Big 10 Championships and 3rd at NCAA's.
Delaney was a 4X high school state finalist and 2x undefeated state champion. He was also a Freestyle/Greco All-American, competing at the Junior, Espoir and University Nationals.
In 2013, he was inducted into the North Dakota Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Delaney and his wife, Kristin have 3 children. Dash, Ripp, and Koko all wrestle for our youth program.
Brett Lawrence
Brett is a former all-american wrestler for the University of Minnesota.
